Mission: SPACE is a space flight simulator attraction located in Future World in Disney’s Epcot.
At Mission: SPACE, guests become astronauts and blast into space. The attraction offers two different experiences: a milder Green Mission and a more intense Orange Mission. The Green Mission travels around Earth; while the Orange Mission travels to Mars. Guests will choose a mission before entering the attraction queue.
The Line
The line at Mission: SPACE is full of space related props. Look closely at the props on the wall as you travel through, you should be able to figure out what (fictional) year it is.
There are two preshow areas in Mission: SPACE. You’ll first watch a short introductory video before your mission, then be assigned your role as an astronaut. Roles include Commander, Pilot, Navigator, or Engineer.
The Ride
Guests enter a sealed capsule attached to a centrifuge. For Orange Missions, the centrifuge tilts and spins; while in Green Missions, the centrifuge only tilts.
The exit of Mission: SPACE has an indoor playground, interactive games, and a gift shop.
Good to Know
- Mission: SPACE accepts Rider Switch.
- Mission: SPACE has a height requirement of 44″ for Orange Missions and 40″ for Green Missions.
- If you are prone to motion sickness, you may want to skip Mission: SPACE.
The Unofficial Team Says…
If you have young children, you can let them play in the indoor Space Base playground by entering through the exit (the gift shop).
