Love fine arts? Yes? Then the Epcot International Festival of the Arts is for you. In 2020, the event ran from January 17th to February 24th.
If you’ve been around Disney World for years, you may know that the Epcot International Festival of the Arts was previously held at Downtown Disney and was called the Festival of the Masters. Once construction started to turn Downtown Disney into Disney Springs, the name was changed and the event was relocated to Epcot.
Today, let’s take a look at some of our favorite things from the festival.
9 Things Not to Miss at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts
- Disney on Broadway Concert Series. Offered three times a day during the festival, Disney on Broadway stars sing songs from their roles. Takes place in the America Gardens Theatre.
- Chalk Art. Three different types of chalk activities take place during the festival: chalk art made by the artists, chalk art made by guests (kids!), and chalk art hidden throughout the World Showcase.
- Food. Don’t miss out on a number of food and drink booths. A few of our favorites include: Pop’t Art: Modern Pop-Tarts, Tomato Soup Can Bloody Marys, Paintbrush Churros, and Lemon Blood-Orange Tart.
- Figments Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt. A family friendly scavenger hunt looking for Figment inside famous works of art. Prizes for the hunt are Figment themed puzzles a in collectible can.
- Shopping. There are more than 100 Disney Artists showcasing their work throughout the park. You can buy original pieces, prints, and much more. If you are looking to get an art piece autographed; watch for some of the artists themselves appearing at their booths.
- Performance Art. Indulge in talent like Epcot’s Living Statues, artists painting Disney characters, acrobatic shows, and more.
